Donation Update January 2023

We received generous donations from two NEW contributors. Our thanks to Cara C. and Cecily P. whose contributions will be matched by the Board on a 2 for 1 basis for a total of $1200.00! Our stalwart recurring donors since mid-December include Diana M., Jamie and Beth M., Jennifer D., Wendell B., Tim D., and Steve K. Their total donations of $2150.00 will be matched 1 for 1 by the Board. Thanks to all of these wonderful Friends of Pro Vita, our bank balance increased by $3,350.00. A long-time supporter, Narcis A., had his earlier contribution matched by his employer, Samsung. Please check if your employer also matches charitable contributions.

The Board’s match offer continues until 31 January 2023 — new contributors are matched on a $2 for $1 basis, while recurring contributors are matched $1 for $1. We hope that this opportunity encourages many more of you to contribute.

As the war in Ukraine drags on and Pro Vita receives additional refugees from overcrowded Romanian State institutions, the financial strain on Pro Vita worsens as do the emotional and psychological impacts of accepting and assimilating these teenagers. With the construction of a new house on Social Center land and the on-going expenses of food, clothing, and incidental expenses for the adolescents and the elderly refugees, AFPVO’s provision of this financial lifeline is truly a blessing for the Tanases and all the staff.

Please give whatever you can — either by check or through PayPal.
